
2012 MENS LEAGUE
The Penticton Ball Hockey League, a member league of British Columbia Ball Hockey Association (BCBHA), is very excited to be starting its seventh season of mens ball hockey this spring. The Penticton ball hockey league had over 150 members last year.
All PBHL league champions will have the opportunity to compete at the provincial championships.
The sport of ball hockey is a great workout and is A GAME FOR EVERYONE, if you are a competitive ice hockey player or have never played, it doesnt matter. There will be a mixture of all different skill sets that join the 2012 mens ball hockey league. In turn, there will be seperate divisions to accomodate all skill sets and competitive interests from beginner to advanced.
What Does the PBHL Provide?
Set Venues: Memorial and Mclaren Arena
Registered Officials: Officials take courses to become certified and recieve on the job training. Most of our officials are ice hockey officials.
Timekeepers: All PBHL games have timekeepers for clock duties and statistics tracking for website.
Player Insurance: all of our players and leagues are insured through Canadian Ball Hockey Association. Players receive limited medical and dental insurance in case of injury.
Website: Participants can view all individual and team statistics, which are updated nightly.
CBHA Championships: All teams and players have the opportunity to compete at provincial, regional and national championship
Cost approximately $10-12 per game
2012 SEASON
Registration Deadline is April 1st, 2012
Registration Types: PBHL partiipants can register as an individual, in groups or as a full team of sixteen players.
Equipment: Helmet, gloves and shoes are required. Shin pads (soccer or hockey) and protective cup recommended.
Locations: Memorial and Mclaren Hockey Arena as well as some at Summerland Arena
Set Dates and Times:
Times: Games will be played between 6 and 10 pm Sunday to Thursday.
Season Length: Season will run from mid April to end of june.
Cost & Number of Games: $170 plus $25 for a jersey if necessary. All teams will be guaranteed 16 games, more based on advancement in playoffs. All playoffs are best of 3 format.
DIVISIONS: All PBHL Participants will have the ability to select the division they play in that is best suited to their skill sets and experience levels.
Officials and Timekeepers: All games will have two certified officials and timkeepers provided. Referee clinics will be held in April by CBHA, dates and times will be confirmed and posted online.

CBHA MEMBER LEAGUE
All teams and players of Penticton Ball Hockey Leagues (PBHL) will be members of the Canadian Ball Hockey Association, which provides many benefits:
CBHA Insurance: All Players are covered by CBHA accidental sports injury insurance for medical or dental in case of injury.
Provincial, Regional and National Championships: One or two teams will represent Penticton at Mens Provincials
